Classic Alfredo is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions every day. They are fine and they look wonderful. Classic Alfredo is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have classic alfredo using 9 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Classic Alfredo:
  1. Make ready 1 tbsp margarine
  2. Prepare 2 small cloves of garlic
  3. Take 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  4. Take 1 1/3 cup skim milk (can use any milk, I prefer skim or almond milk)
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp cream cheese (can use light cream cheese if you want)
  6. Get 1 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (save some for the top!)
  7. Get 4 cup of whatever pasta you love most! (cooked)
  8. Get 2 tsp parsley
  9. Get 2 pinch freshly ground pepper
Instructions to make Classic Alfredo:
  1. Cook pasta according to directions on the box. When cooked, drain and set aside
  2. In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt margarine
  3. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until the garlic is golden and you can smell it
  4. Stir in flour. Wait a couple of seconds so the flour can combine/cook. Then slowly add in milk, stirring constantly for 8 minutes with a wire whisk until the mixture is thick and bubbly.
  5. Stir in cream cheese and cook for 2 more minutes. Then add most of the parmesan cheese and stir til the cheese is combined
  6. Add in parsley and pepper, stir
  7. Pour cheese mixture over the pasta and serve! :) (don't forget to add the extra cheese ontop!)
  8. Optional ingredients: cooked zucchini, broccoli or rosted cherry tomatoes. Just throw them in at the end!
